From zero to $1billion in 2 years 8 months!

Storm badged Challenger funds have surpassed $1billion, further cementing Storm as a serious player on the national financial scene.
 
The ‘Challenger Storm Financial Australian Share Market Indexed Trusts’ one billion dollar mark was achieved just two years and eight months after a standing start on October 14, 2004.

Storm currently has over $5.5 billion in funds under management, and over 3000 clients, 160 staff and 14 offices along the eastern seaboard after adding some 11 acquisitions during 2007 – with more acquisitions and authorised representative expansion on the drawing board.

Storm’s Executive Chairman and Joint CEO, Emmanuel Cassimatis, is particularly pleased the milestone was reached ahead of expected timeframes.

“We are delighted with the result. We tend to set big goals and then surpass them, which I believe demonstrates the success and effectiveness of our approach to doing business.

“Getting the best outcomes for clients is the priority,” he explained. “We partnered with Challenger to provide a quality product for our clients.

Top 10 performance

According to Morningstar data on all Retail Managed Investments in Australia, the Storm badged/Challenger managed Australian Industrials Indexed Trust was in the Top Ten business inflows for the year to 31 March 2007, which shows the product is a winner. In that period, the inflows for the fund built specially for Storm ranked 8th for the March 07 quarter and 10th for the year!
