There are actually three wholly owned subsidiaries within the Redcliffe office, but it’s quite seamless and it’s still very much a team so visitors and clients hardly notice – they’re simply visiting the Redcliffe office, after all. It is much as it has been over countless years, where visitors and clients experience warm hospitality and every day, like second nature, Storm’s philosophy of client service is
put into practice.

Ron Jelich

A key driving force within Storm, Ron established himself in the finance industry in 1985, in his own financial planning practice at Redcliffe on the north side of Brisbane. In 1982 he earned the coveted MLC Chairman's Award, which is reserved for the top five percent of agents across Australia. He was presented with the Chairman's Award every year through to 2002.

These prestigious awards took him to numerous overseas destinations where world leaders in the financial planning industry exchange views, trends, techniques and ideas.

Ron is a qualifying member of the world-renowned Million Dollar Round Table – an honour respected by both his peers and his competitors.

Recognised also in his local community, Ron won the Redcliffe Chamber of Commerce Business Person of the Year award in 2000.

Always an innovator, Ron is at the leading edge of his profession and no wonder...he was advocating over 15 years ago what the experts are
saying today!

With his refreshingly commonsense perspective, he has been actively sought after not only as a financial adviser, but also as a keynote speaker and to pen feature articles for industry and specialist magazines.

While all of this information is important and relevant, Ron's highest priority is the human aspect of his life and his work.

His passion is people and one of his greatest pleasures in life is to play a role in assisting clients and friends achieve their true potential. His guidance, loyalty, commitment, sportsmanship and robust sense of humour have touched many who have sent unsolicited testimonials on his impact on their life.

Most new clients come from word of mouth – happy clients telling friends and colleagues. It is a measure of the confidence, loyalty and trust clients have that they feel motivated to spread the word.

Ron is always delighted – as well as very appreciative and somewhat humbled – to receive a call from a total stranger who wants to become a client on the strength of what they've heard.

Among his many community contributions, Ron has also used his position in the industry to help encourage a growing group of young professionals who now operate their own successful enterprises.

Nothing gives him more satisfaction than witnessing this new breed of financial advisers as they position themselves as the leaders
of tomorrow.

He also holds the position of Director (responsible for sponsorship and fundraising) on the Redcliffe Hospital Foundation Board. He has taken this role so much to heart that he decided to do a charity walk from Cairns to Brisbane to raise funds and awareness for the Foundation, and all the other hospital foundations along the route.

Andrew O'Brien

Andrew O'Brien joined Jelich Jones in early 2001 and is now under the banner of Storm Financial (Five) Pty Ltd.
A former client and now financial planner, Andrew has a varied background which includes working as a geologist. He holds university degrees in science and technology and completed his Diploma of Financial Planning in January 2004.

Having grown up on the Redcliffe Peninsula, he is a product of Grace Lutheran College. He currently lives in on the Peninsula with his wife Dany, son Luke and daughter Sophie.

Before joining Ron in 1991 to form Jelich Jones, Bob's career was with Australian Provincial Newspapers, where over 13 years he held positions in Redcliffe and Brisbane as advertising executive and advertising manager, and also in the printing division as manager. Bob holds a Level 3 Proper Authority and has completed a Diploma of Financial Planning. His consistent high-level performance qualified him for MLC Overseas Conventions in San Francisco, South Africa, Paris, London and Ireland. He was also a member of the prestigious MLC Chairman's Team.

In his role at Storm, Bob's main driving force is the personal satisfaction of seeing his clients do better in life and also professionally mentoring his son, who forms part of the Storm team.

Terry Webb

Terry and Lesley Webb joined Storm Financial in early 2004.
Terry was born and raised in Redcliffe, and began his Financial Planning career with AMP in 1982. This fledgling career was interrupted at the end of 1983 when Terry was fortunate enough to be invited to play professional rugby league in England.
Terry stayed in England for some five years - during this time he met and married his lovely wife Lesley.

Terry returned to Australia and ran a small business for three years before being coaxed back into Financial Planning by good friend and golfing partner, Ron Jelich. Terry completed a Diploma of Financial Planning and is a Certified Financial Planner. That was thirteen years ago and the rest is history.

As a result of his excellent service to clients Terry has qualified for many overseas conventions.

Terry and Lesley have two great boys, Jack and Ben, and the whole family is heavily involved in rugby league (well maybe not all - Lesley puts up with it you could say!).
