it’s time to go storm redcliffe...

To a bigger, more spacious, state-of-the-art home - and the signs are up to prove it! With all the bad weather in south-east Queensland recently, we are pleased to announce that our 350+ Redcliffe clients will soon be receiving a very welcome kind of Storm after we recently acquired the Cunningham’s Marine building in Margate.

Exact details of the office’s facilities are being kept under wraps however one thing is for sure… Like all other Storm buildings and judging by the artists impressions we were able to get our hands on, it will be nothing less than spectacular.

Amongst all the fun and frivolity at our 2007 Storm Christmas party, it was with much pride and excitement that the Storm Ambassador of the Year was awarded to our very own Dawn Collett.

Dawn joined the organization back in January 1997 when we only consisted of one office (Townsville), and our staff numbers were much smaller – about 4!  With some 15 offices and in excess of 160 staff, how times have changed!

Renovations on Storm’s very own slice of Australian history are finally complete. Geelong’s heritage listed Sladen House made its way into the Storm family late last year when it was purchased to house our regional Victorian operations.

Formerly a function center, visiting Sladen House truly is a heart-warming step back in time… Made of bluestone brick the majestic building is surrounded by beautiful gardens with a grand cobblestone entrance more suited to the likes of a horse-drawn carriage than today’s modes of transport.

The official opening of our Storm Financial Cairns Office took place in December, with the usual fanfare worthy of such occasions. However the evening was made particularly special by the supreme efforts of Gus and Antonetta Dalle Cort, and John and Danielle Fuller, and their sensational staff.

Gus and John and the team have certainly made an indelible mark on the Cairns horizon, and the office is a pure delight to visit. They have very successfully taken the typical Storm office “model” and individualized it to reflect their own colourful and exciting personalities.

CEO Emmanuel Cassimatis says respect starts with the little things… And from the toilets to the top floor, Storm Financial’s lavish new $5 million dollar National Headquarters in Townsville paid the highest level of respect to clients.

“We tell clients all the time how much we value them and this building is an extension of that in showing them we really mean what we say,” Mr Cassimatis said.

The long-awaited for $5million expansion to Storm's Townsville offices is almost complete and is expected to open very early in the new year. The café courtyard, extended parking and boardrooms for client use will be welcome adjustments as we cater for Storms’ rapid expansion and continually improve our service to clients.
