Gus Dalle Cort

Gus started out with MLC as a financial adviser and then went on to manage and direct Dalle Cort Financial Planning. Before long, Dalle Cort Financial Planning was in the top 10 firms for their dealership in the state, no mean feat for a single adviser operation. This was followed by the acquisition of Dalle Cort Financial Planning, and Gus is now the Managing Director of Storm Financial (Nine) Pty Ltd and an active member of its board.

John Fuller

John joined the Cairns Storm team in early 2006, coming from a teaching and economics background. Since joining Storm John has successfully achieved an Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning and now plays a vital role as an Employee Representative. His enthusiasm and proficiency within the Cairns office environment reflects his positive attitude and quality service towards his growing clientele.

Simone Woodbridge

Simone joined Gus Dalle Cort in 2004 who both then became part of the Cairns Storm team. Simone has been and is an integral part of the Cairns office, ensuring it functions at full speed. Simone has since obtained a Diploma in Financial Planning and works closely with the other advisers in Cairns to provide excellence in service to clients.

Emmanuel Cassimatis

Emmanuel is co-founder, Joint CEO and Executive Chairman of Storm.

Together with his partner Julie he has created and built one of Australia's leading financial services firms. Emmanuel's academic qualifications include a Master of Applied Finance degree. He has a over 30 years of successful history in the industry – a history rich in both outstanding quality of advice and service to clients and quantity of business written.

Carey Fraser

Carey is one of our hugely experienced advisers and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Storm group. Carey has a Diploma of Financial Planning and is currently studying Applied Finance at the Master level.

David McCulloch

David joined Storm in 1999, after being a leading business banker with the CBA, Australia's largest bank, for 25 years. David is an Associate of The Financial and Securities Institute of Australia and has extensive banking and financial experience.  He is a senior adviser for Storm and heads our Townsville Head Office operations.

John Schluter

John Schluter has had many years experience in Financial Planning, from working in large organisations through to running his own practice.  John is passionate about helping people live life on purpose rather than by accident.  He delivers over 30 educational investment seminars per year to all types of investors; writes a monthly article for a regional magazine with over 100,000 readers, and has a weekly radio show – ‘Wealthy Lifestyle’ – that reaches an estimated 40,000 listeners. 

John and partner Yvette recently had their business acumen rewarded when they won the ‘Best in Business Award for Professional Businesses’ in the Mackay region.  John is currently undertaking a Master of Applied Finance degree to add to his other qualifications.  He is an Associate of the Financial Planning Association and holds the position of Managing Director of the Mackay office.

Yvette Daniel

Yvette has been in the financial planning profession for over 10 years.  During this time she has held a variety of roles, providing her with a depth of knowledge across the industry. Her academic qualifications include a bachelor of Business in Banking and Finance, a Diploma in Financial Planning and she is currently undertaking a Master of Applied Finance degree.  She is a Certified Financial Planner with the Financial Planning Association.  Yvette ensures her clients’ lifestyle goals and strategies are progressing to plan.

Brian Royes

After completing a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1975 Brian embarked on a career that has seen a 30 year involvement in the financial services industry in Central Queensland. Prior to joining Storm Financial in 2005 he was consistently one of MLC’s most successful advisers. The move to Storm proved to be an excellent decision for Brian and his clients.  His primary role is as the Managing Director of Storm Financial in the Rockhampton office, and he also plays an integral role on the Storm Executive committee. Brian resides at Yeppoon in Queensland with his wife Helen and two children Patrick and Georgia and is a frequent contributor to local sporting and charity events.

Ashley Dowie

After working and travelling in Europe, Ash has been with the Storm Financial office in Rockhampton since its inception in 2004.  Currently completing his Masters in Applied Finance, Ash has lived and studied in Rockhampton from an early age, and has developed strong relationships in both the business and rural sectors of the region.  Ash takes a very personal approach in his commitment to assist all clients achieve financial freedom.

Karen McTier

Karen was an accountant who switched to financial planning 10 years ago. She is a Certified Financial Planner and achieved her Bachelor of Business (Accounting) Degree with Distinction, and is currently completing her Masters in Applied Finance. Karen joined the Storm Financial team in 2005 after seeking a firm that had a long track record of making a real difference to clients’ financial lives. She is a local ‘Rockhamptonite’ with strong ties to the community, and she is committed to ensuring clients achieve their financial goals.

Stuart Drummond

Stuart joined Emmanuel Cassimatis & Associates (ECA) in 1991 when he sold his financial advice firm to ECA. Stuart is a foundation employee of the Company and was appointed a senior adviser in 1995. Stuart is on the board of several of the acquired financial advice firms, and manages Storm's Brisbane operations and one of the acquired Victorian businesses. Stuart was awarded a Masters of Applied Finance from the University of Western Sydney. Stuart heads up the Brisbane operations, utilising his vast experience in both group presentations and individual client work.

George Cassimatis

George has been with Storm since early in 1998. He completed his University studies finalizing his Master of Applied Finance degree in 2000. Whilst initially working in the firm on client service work, George is now a fully qualified Financial Planner working with clients in the Brisbane office.

Stephen Halsall

Stephen, one of Storm's more experienced advisers, has been with the firm since 1998.  Originally, an adviser's assistant and client liaison, he has developed into an intuitive communicator and has a strong background of experience in the Storm process to help clients achieve the best from it. Stephen takes an active role in developing other Storm team members and is passionate about the good that Storm does for its clients.

Harry Notaras

Harry has been in the storm family for many years, with formal inclusion in 1994.  He has studied economics and finance, culminating in a Master of Philosophy in Finance from Cambridge University, along with other qualifications.  Harry ran his own practice using the Storm process before he sold his business to Storm and became an Employee Representative again.

Hayley Boyle

Hayley has been part of Storm's team since May 2003, working in most areas of the business ensuring thorough knowledge of our client process and planning strategies. Hayley is currently a Financial Planner in our Brisbane office and is part of the team studying Applied Finance at the Master level.

Peter Allen

Peter joined Storm in September 2006.  He has been advising since 1999 and has accumulated a broad range of experiences ranging from superannuation, Centrelink, wealth creation strategies and risk insurance.  Since leaving the RAN in 1987 he has travelled to and lived in several countries.  Clients can be assured Peter keeps on his toes – he and his wife have two budding young zoo keepers (boys aged 6 and 7) who keep the house stocked with frogs, lizards and so on!

Ron Jelich

Ron established himself in the finance industry in 1985 in his own practice in Redcliffe, building a reputation as one of the industry’s most respected and innovative planners. He joined Storm in 2003 and as well as being Managing Director of Storm Financial (Five) Pty Ltd, he plays a key role as the National Development Manager for Storm Financial Limited. His wealth of knowledge and experience within the industry allows him to successfully source and mentor the increasing stream of advisers wishing to become part of the Storm team.  He combines this role with maintaining a close and personal relationship with his clients in the Redcliffe office.

Andrew O’Brien

Andrew joined Jelich Jones in early 2001, which is now under the banner of Storm Financial (Five) Pty Ltd. A former client and now financial planner, Andrew has a varied background, including working as a geologist. He holds university degrees in science and technology, completed his Diploma of Financial Planning in January 2004, and is currently completing his Masters in Applied Finance.. He grew up on the Redcliffe Peninsula, where he still resides with his wife Dany, son Luke and daughter Sophie.

Bob Jones

Bob joined Ron Jelich at the Redcliffe office in 1991, and has continued the tradition of customer focus ever since.  Bob is a Certified Financial Planner and has a Diploma in Financial Planning.  He joined Storm in 2003 and continues to provide expert advice and customer service in our Redcliffe office. Bob derives a huge amount of personal satisfaction from seeing clients do better in life, and helping them reach their potential is his main goal.

Daniel Jones

Daniel joined the team in 2001 and is currently studying a Masters degree in Applied Finance. Daniel is keen to provide his clients service that is second to none. He is based in Redcliffe and works closely with his father Bob, who is Managing Director of Storm Financial (Six) Pty Ltd.

Terry Webb

Terry has accumulated many years experience and commitment to client service since beginning in the industry in 1991.  He has completed a diploma of financial planning, and is a Certified Planner. He joined Storm in 2004 and continues to work closely with clients as an adviser in our Redcliffe office, as well as holding the position of Managing Director for Storm Financial (Eight) Pty Ltd.

Bruce Ibbotson

Bruce Ibbotson  joined the Redcliffe Storm team in August 2006. Coming from a predominately community service background, Bruce has since obtained a Diploma in Financial Planning and is now building his role as an adviser. His hard work and dedication is reflected in the career change  Bruce undertook when joining Storm and he is an important member  of the Storm team.

Jodie McIver

Jodie has lived and worked on the beautiful Sunshine Coast since joining the financial services industry in 1996. She joined the Storm Financial team in 2005 as an Adviser and has recently been appointed as the National Manager - Storm Financial Services. Jodie is currently completing her Masters in Applied Finance. She is a huge advocate of the people first philosophy of Storm Financial and over her career has developed strong client and business relationships in this growing and progressive community.

Trevor Benson

Trevor has been in the financial planning industry since 1988. Previously he was the director of Trevor Benson Investments based at Redcliffe (Queensland), moving to Nundah in 2002. Now teamed with Storm, Trevor is the Managing Director of Storm Financial (Fourteen) Pty Ltd.

Michael Crew

Originally based at the Rockhampton office, Michael has recently joined the Nundah Team. Michael joined Storm in 2006 and brought with him experience in the banking sector of finance.

John McArdle

John McArdle has been in the financial planning profession for over 23 years.  During this time he has developed an in depth knowledge of the industry particularly of personal risk protection.  John  operated his own business as an Authorised Representative since 1990 and in February 2008, joined Storm as an employee representative.  His academic qualifications include a Diploma of Business (NZ), Diploma of Financial Planning and John is also a Certified Financial Planner with the Financial Planning Association.  John works hard to ensure his clients can reach their financial goals .

Kym Spann

Kym joined the Nundah Storm team in March 2006 but has worked with in the financial services industry since 2001., Kym has obtained a Diploma in Financial Planning and has extensive experience in office manager, adviser assistant and paraplanner roles. Kym is now an adviser with Storm while still fulfilling the role of office manager at Nundah. She has worked with Trevor Benson for many years and together they have built solid relationships with their clientele.

Wally Fullerton-Smith

Wally began in the financial planning industry part-time during his football career with the Redcliffe Dolphins from 1983 – 1986 and then in Sydney from 1987 – 1992. After finishing his 1st grade rugby league career with St George (Dragons) and travelling overseas to live in the beautiful South of France, Wally and his wife Kim settled on the Gold Coast in 1994. Wally's career in rugby league got him to the highest levels of the sport, representing Queensland in State of Origin and also representing Australia. Being successful in a team sport, Wally has developed high levels of communication and understanding and knows the drive and desire needed to assist people in fulfilling their own personal dreams. Wally heads up the Gold Coast office after joining Storm in 2006.

Bernardine Frawley

Bernardine Frawley has been with the company since 1986. Her academic qualifications include a Master of Applied Finance degree. Bernardine is one of Storm's most highly qualified and experienced planners. She is an Associate of the firm and is an important part of the operations in our Sydney office.

Nicholas Maloney

Nick has been with the Storm since July 2005, firstly in our Townsville office and then migrating to Sydney to assist in the development of this office. Nick has since obtained a Diploma of Financial Planning and is currently completing his Masters in Applied Finance, although he was already qualified when he came to Storm with a Bachelor of Business. Nick has honed his advisory skills and takes a personal approach in his commitment to assist all clients.

Stephen Price

Stephen joined Storm in 2005 and has returned to his hometown of Geelong after stints in our Townsville Head office and Brisbane City office. Stephen holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Deakin University, with majors in Financial Planning and e-Commerce Management and is currently studying a Masters in Applied Finance. Outside of Storm, Stephen is active in the social justice arena and is currently involved in establishing a Refugee Tutoring Program in Geelong.

Dean Thompson

Dean has worked in the financial planning industry since 1995 and joined the Storm team in 2005. He holds a Diploma of Financial Planning and has recently relocated to Geelong after spending two years at Townsville Head office.  He has been actively involved in charity groups such as Camp Quality, as well as soccer, tennis and surf life saving.

Mick McKendry

Mick was introduced to the Storm philosophy in 2007 after running a successful insurance business since 1985. He knew immediately that he wanted to be part of Storm as he recognized it provided a way for people to work together to achieve financial independence and therefore the freedom to live their lives as they choose. His knowledge of the finance industry and his extraverted personality make him easy to get along with and helps ensure clients are actively involved in every step of their plan. Mick’s passion and excitement for his work is highly contagious and leaves clients and staff enthusiastic about what lies ahead.

Paul Florence

Paul joined the Storm Financial team in April 2007 as our first Authorised Representative in Victoria.

Paul’s foray into the financial services industry started back in 1987 and since then he has experienced a wide variety of roles and changes in the industry.  Originally from the Goulburn Valley region in country Victoria, Paul moved to Melbourne in 1986, where he met Sonja shortly after, and the rest they say is history. With three young children, Paul and Sonja are kept busy with school and community activities, as well as building their presence in the Werribee area. Paul and his team pride themselves on delivering the best possible outcomes for clients, which is a major focal point for the entire Storm group.
